Dakota Provisions QA HACCP Coordinator in Huron, South Dakota

This position requires an understanding of food science and food manufacturing principles, for developing and reassessing the plantand#39;s HACCP and SSOP Programs; and training employees. In addition, they must demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance functions to adequately assist the QA Supervisors. As time permits, they will assist the QA and Operations management teams.Duties and Responsibilities:QA HACCP Coordinator will report to the QA HACCP Supervisor.Support the QA HACCP Supervisor, FSQA Manager in developing and reassessing the HACCP Program.Review HACCP paperwork ensuring paperwork is accurate and complete.Assist as liaison between USDA and establishment and submit Noncompliance response.Train plant personnel on the requirements of HACCP and related programs (GMP and SSOP).Review and monitor all deviations to aid in training.Respond to issures in a timely manner.Lead contract for internal company laboratory.Assists QA Management in coordination, implementation, development, and supervision of QA programs such as HACCP/Food Safety, SQF, GMPs, Food Defense, Prerequisite and all Government Programs.Perform all other activities as assigned.Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:Bachelors of Science in Food Science, Microbiology or any Bachelorand#39;s degree with QA/QC experience.2-3 yearsand#39; previous quality experience in the food production industry.Know of GMP, Food Safety, USDA and HACCP Requirements.Strong technical, organizational and communication skills.Attention to detail. Results oriented with strong sense of urgency, dependable.Must read, speak and write in the English language.Strong problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills or ability.Knowledge of statistical processes or ability to learn.Ability to be adaptable and flexible.Excellent record keeping/documentataion skills.Frequent walking with plant environment.Frequently lifts up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
