Role Summary/Purpose:

The Global Security Manager provides protection, investigation, resiliency and crisis management services in support of FieldCore, its employees, assets and facilities throughout the world. The role is responsible for generating the supporting content, the

implementation and management of all FieldCore’s security guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance globally.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide both strategic and tactical security advice to safeguard FieldCore’s employees and assets globally

  • Establish and maintain the viability of security processes and procedures in an ever-changing global environment

  • Identify protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with the businesses’ overall strategic plan

  • Develop and manage the security component of FieldCore’s crisis management plan. Prepare and/or maintain country specific security business continuity plans

  • Lead the development and analysis of threat information where the company has operations, to include risk categories such as terrorism, activism, nation-state and industrial espionage, civil unrest and crime

  • Conduct site security audits and identify upgrades / corrective measures to reduce vulnerability to theft.

  • Conduct investigations of alleged or suspected violations of laws, policies and regulations in support of the business. Liaise closely with local, state and federal authorities on matters relating to loss prevention and investigations

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data

  • Maintain and develop security training programs; conduct drills to test organizational preparedness and raise employee awareness

  • Provide country specific and security awareness presentations to all levels of business personnel, management and external partners, contractors and vendors. Deliver asset protection related training as required

  • Manage all administrative, operational, budget and service functions related to this position.

  • Available 24/7 to provide guidance and direction in response to any type of security related incident

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminal Justice, International Affairs/Homeland Security, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the law enforcement and/or security discipline, including demonstrable experience at a senior level overseeing complex investigations and security operations

  • Knowledge of protective security and risk management principles

  • Lead Investigator (TOPSET, TAPROOT)

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of GE’s Power Services and/or Granite Services’ field operations and services business model

  • Deep understanding of security, compliance and risk

  • Global experience executing security programs

  • Strong leadership capabilities; a self-starter and champion of change with proven ability to lead and motivate dispersed teams

  • Developed interpersonal and analytical skills; effective and concise in both verbal and written communications; comfortable writing technical documents as well as general security communications

  • Able to drive a positive employee relations culture into the field
