We are creating a new digital function focused on speed, reuse and outcomes. We are bringing together expertise and domain knowledge from IT, engineering and software development, blurring the lines on how we’ve traditionally defined these roles.
As our new VP - Customer Solution Services, reporting to our SVP/CTO, Infrastructure Services, you will be accountable for providing leadership, vision, ownership and strategic direction for GE’s infrastructure as it relates to our customer connections, third parties, and telecommunication partners globally across all GE businesses. In this customer facing and relationship driven role, you will partner closely with and influence across the GE Businesses, IT Leadership and our customers to transform GE’s infrastructure products and services.
In addition, in this newly created role, as our VP – Customer Solution Services you will:
Own and deliver the connectivity strategy and products for GE’s Enterprise and its extension to our customer base globally.
Create and nurture relationships with external customers and drive solutions from an influence perspective.
Provide technical leadership for planning and execution of major infrastructure projects with enterprise-wide and commercial impact.
Partner with leaders in Corporate IT Risk to implement future technology requirements and controls as it relates to delivering connectivity for key products, including Predix, while minimizing risk and meeting business goals.
Maintain current infrastructure trends and identify strategic business and commercial implications.
Assist in the development and change management of a high-performance, horizontal IT/Digital Technology organization.
Improve IT/Digital Technology operational excellence and control costs for the function globally.
Grow our Digital Technology community from being Infrastructure focused to add software and architecture expertise; move from project focused to product focused.
Drive the prioritization, budgeting and resource planning of IT to support business objectives and key initiatives for the business globally.
Create a forum for innovation with the GE technology community that drives thought leadership around GE’s industrial platforms including analytics, big data, cloud and mobile technologies.
Drive toward our vision of transforming into a digital function focused on horizontal products, driving reuse across GE.
Develop deep understanding of GE infrastructure requirements with the experience and acumen to accelerate portfolio advancements, convergence and delivery.
Develop and guide a technical community across the Digital Technology organization that fosters innovation, agile design and test methodology, flexible teaming, knowledge sharing and talent transformation.
Build a new team of highly technical individuals and provide leadership, inspiration and guidance that will foster a supportive culture of transparency, collaboration and creativity.

Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a STEM major preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience and demonstrated success in software engineering, enterprise architecture and/or information technology across multiple products, systems and/or platforms.
Minimum of 6 years of experience leading multi-discipline technical teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in web-based applications, middle-tier services, database, storage, distributed computing, virtualization and/or application technology migrations, coupled with experience driving and executing cloud and digital technology strategies.
Minimum of 3 years of experience of direct customer interaction and engagement. Eligibility Requirements
