DESCRIPTION Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join its talented team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. SGT, headquartered in Greenbelt Maryland, is the primary contractor to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for performing work at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center (http://eros.usgs.gov/) near Sioux Falls, SD (http://www.siouxfalls.org). This position provides administrative support to the Technical Support Services Contract (TSSC) under the direction of the SGT Lead Administrative Assistant. The incumbent will provide administrative support to the assigned staff on the TSSC contract. Candidates must be highly motivated, well organized, have excellent communication skills, and have a teamwork emphasis. This position requires a high level of confidentiality; applies basic fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures to current work. General office duties are completed with professionalism and tact. This position description does not include every duty or responsibility the employee may be asked to perform and does not restrict management s right to assign/re-assign duties and responsibilities to this position as circumstances dictate. Education: High School graduate Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years directly related experience Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Maintain confidential information * Ability to work on projects of increasing difficulty and/or undefined processes * Preparing/arranging travel (domestic and international), securing visas, county clearance, travel vouchers and reimbursements * Preparing presentations using PowerPoint * Preparing agendas and memos * Developing/maintaining spreadsheets and databases * Writing/updating administrative processes and procedures * Conduct new employee orientation * Track and maintain daily attendance * General administrative duties such as: * Scheduling meetings, * Answering phones * Filing * Copying * Maintaining office supplies * Distributing mail Special Skills/Requirements: * Prior experience with maintaining confidential data/information highly desired * Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Excel * Possess effective oral and written communication skills This position will be posted to the career opportunities listing on the SGT website (Http://www.sgt-inc.com/careers).
