Fin Acct Specialist IV
This position is required to ensure that the receivables and inventories in the credit cards product processors (TSYS and IBS) are in balance with the general ledger. This is achieved by using daily reporting to account for our change in receivables and booking that activity to appropriate general ledger accounts. The purpose of this job is to reconcile the credit card product processor posting activity to the general ledger. This includes balancing and settling activity from the Associations through reporting and wires, as well as reconciling the various payment flows that are available to our clients. Daily balancing is completed to identify any financial risks to the business and all variances are escalated and resolved through interfacing with the operations and/or technical teams. The person in this position will be responsible for:
Performing various accounting functions which will include daily balancing and general ledger entries.
Conducting complex accounting investigations and resolutions.
Interfacing with various departments and representing Financial Control on assigned projects.
Serving as subject matter expert within assigned job functions.
Performing risk control and self-assessment duties, as assigned.
Business/accounting work experience preferred.
TSYS (Total Systems) and IBS product processor knowledge/experience preferred.
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and work experience.
Ability to follow established accounting and regulatory policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/accounting experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to interact with people at different levels throughout the business through multiple mediums.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable in representing Financial Control Operations and speaking to processes in meetings and on conference calls.
Strong attention to detail and understanding of controls.
Proven skills to multi-task and easily change directions.
Ability to analyze, escalate, and resolve problems.
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office.
